Parce que j'aime cette lampe de famille, ramenée de Chine par un grand'oncle y ayant travaillé pour le chemin de fer (il y est enterré), qui a été pendue dans notre entrée à Epinal, que m'a donnée mon père, je redonne une chance à cette photo.
Et puis aujourd'hui, 07 février 2008, est le premier jour de l'année du rat...

I saw this an put a votive candle into a crystal bowl on top of a bookshelf. It reflected designs on the ceiling and wall.
Le joli lighting is a relatively inexpensive way to make a place look romantic and magical.
ps the bowl was cut glass with many designs cut into it. It was a bowl i never used, now it is a light holder!

The Chocolaterie est yumie. They have Kirsch truffles that are a huge favorite with customers. also a new candy from Belgium, a dark chocolate with a real bing cherry inside-unbelievable good--the best thing about fine chocolates is one or two, and they are so very rich and satisfying --yet you can simply 'walk them off" with a quick stroll around the village.
Not like a cake I am afraid. The cakes i showed are very good--i bought five cakes for a party, and my guests loved them--i had no left overs which was a good thing. They have hazelnut filling, cherry, and other fillings strawberry raspberry--it is all special order and they make many cakes every day. I love that bakery. The fillings are extremely fresh and good!
I have to remember to buy even more dessert items there to support local business-- our village is an oasis of great shops surrounded by malls. so we have to remind ourselves that our shops are always in danger of disappearing.
Next summer a Patisserie is coming--I can't wait.
We have a French bakery cafe but it is very small and the owner forbids me to take pictures of his cakes--he thinks someone will look at the picture and magically "steal" the recipe-- He is from France and does not trust Americans! We have super evil powers --to look at a photo of a cake and know the recipe.

Nolwenn, Georg, Claude, Daniel, Marguerite-Marie, Bergson : cette photo a été prise le amtin du jour de l'an, nous avions fêté le nouvel an chez nos amis Lichun et Xiaohui. J'ai profité de la nuit pour faire cette image que je n'aurais pas réussie autrement : notre entrée est un puit de lumière éclairé par une verrière.
J'aime beaucoup cette photo et je suis contente que vous l'aimiez aussi et que vous me l'ayiez dit. Merci.

Même avec une recette il n'est pas toujours facile de réussir un gâteau.
Comment empêcher les personnes qui achètent les gateaux de deviner (guess) la recette ?
